The CHARLIER venture started 1989 en developed quickly in the run-up ton the year 2000 . The company expanded significantly between the years 1998 and 2006 : the truck fleet went from 8 tot 81 tractors and 150 semi-trailers . A few selected dates give a good idea of developments during the short but busy history of the Company .

The company expanded significantly between the years 1998 and 2006 : the truck fleet went from 8 tot 81 tractors and 150 semi-trailers . A few selected dates give a good idea of developments during the short but busy history of the Company .

 

  • 1998 : The Company establishes itself at Recogne , across the OREAL – Plant , along the N89 , where it builds roomy offices and a storage location of 5,000 m².
  • 1999 : The Company’s development necessitates new investments . Just a year after having built the Recogne – site , CHARLIER is short of space . 2,500 m² are being added to the storage location Recogne .
  • 2003 : The Company decides to further grow via investments in logistics . For doing so , infrastructure needs to be made available . In Messancy , two storage halls of each 10,000m² are being built .
  • 2006 : the southern part of the Province of Luxemburg continues to suffer from lack of space , inspiring CHARLIER to invest again : the Messancy site is being expanded to 30,000 m² .
  • 2006 : A major characteristic of a Transport Company are its vehicles . In order to keep up with maintenance requirements ,  at Recogne , a workshop and a truck-wash are being added .
  • 2006 : Takeover of SA Transports Herbeuval et fils in Les Bulles.
  • 2008 : construction of a fourth storage hall of 10,000 m² in Messancy
  • 2012 : Start of a new activity : distribution , as Partner of DHB ( Distributie Holland België ) . This new activity allows to set up a regional distribution network in Wallonia and the G.D. de Luxembourg . As a Partner in DHB , we now offer 24-hours-distribution over the whole of the Benelux Countries .
